Nếu Surface Pro 4 hết hạn bảo hành nhưng không quá 3 năm kể từ ngày mua và màn hình bị lỗi nhấp nháy, Microsoft sẽ thay thế sản phẩm cho người dùng.
Theo The Verge, Microsoft vừa tung ra chương trình thay thế miễn phí những thiết bị Surface Pro 4 nào bị lỗi màn hình chớp nháy do quá nhiệt. Công ty đã nhận được những phản hồi từ phía người dùng về vụ việc vào tháng 2 năm nay và sau khi kiểm tra kỹ lưỡng, họ nhận ra rằng chỉ có 1% các sản phẩm Surface Pro 4 gặp phải vấn đề và không thể sửa chữa bằng các bản cập nhật driver hay firmware.
Một vài người dùng đã cho hay họ đã sửa thành công lỗi này bằng cách…đặt thiết bị vào tủ lạnh để khắc phục tạm thời. Những ai đã chi trả 450 USD (khoảng 10,2 triệu đồng) cho việc thay thế màn hình trước đó đều sẽ được Microsoft hoàn tiền. Công ty cũng cho biết thêm chính sách bảo hành 3 năm chỉ áp dụng cho phần màn hình của Surface Pro.
Lỗi chớp màn hình “Flickergate” dường như đã chống lại lời biện hộ của Microsoft khi đổ lỗi các hiện tượng mà dòng Surface mắc phải là do chip Skylake của Intel cũng như cho thấy đánh giá của Consumer Reports trước đây là đúng. Qua sự việc này, ta có thể thấy Microsoft khá chậm chạp trong việc tiếp thu phản hồi người dùng và khắc phục lỗi.
