Có thể nói, Dell được coi là thương hiệu đi đầu của màn hình 8K, cụ thể đó là màn Dell UltraSharp UP3218K. Đây được coi là màn hình đầu tiên trên thế giới đạt độ phân giải 8K. Màn hình này định hướng tới phân khúc người dùng chuyên nghiệp và cao cấp với mức giá khoảng 5.000USD (tương đương 115 triệu VNĐ).

Dell UltraSharp UP3218K được giới thiệu lần đầu tại Hội chợ Điện tử Tiêu dùng CES 2017 (Mỹ). Sản phẩm này sẽ cạnh tranh trực tiếp với màn hình 5K (UltraFine) được sản xuất bởi LG đang được trang bị trên iMac của Apple.
Người dùng có thể đặt mua trực tiếp UltraSharp UP3218K ngay từ bây giờ trên website bán hàng của Dell. Mức giá niêm yết hiện tại là 5.000USD (tương đương khoảng 115 triệu đồng).
UP3218K có kích thước 31,5 inch, độ phân giải 7.680 × 4.320 pixels, mật độ điểm ảnh 279PPI, sử dụng tấm nền IPS cho góc nhìn rộng 178 độ, cùng với đó là tỷ lệ tương phản lên đến 1.300:1. Màn hình UltraSharp UP3218K được tích hợp độ phân giải 8K với 1.07 tỉ màu và được bao bọc quanh máy toàn bộ là nhôm và có khả năng tái tạo đến 100% không gian màu Adobe RGB lẫn sRGB.
Độ phân giải của màn hình này tương đương một bức ảnh 33,2MP. Phần lớn các thiết bị ghi hình hiện nay đều khó đạt độ phân giải cao hơn mức này, cũng rất hiếm sản phẩm sáng tạo, chương trình và phim ảnh được sản xuất trên quy mô thương mại với độ phân giải này, đó cũng chính là lý do màn hình 8K chưa phổ biến trên thị trường dân dụng.
Theo lẽ dĩ nhiên, để sử dụng tối ưu màn hình độ phân giải 8K người dùng cần phải trang bị VGA tương xứng và cáp DisplayPort chuẩn 1.3… Nếu được trang trang bị kể trên, màn hình này vượt xa yêu cầu của một chiếc máy tính để bàn thông thường.
